Classes

The Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® course topics cover all aspects of parenting from toddler to teens. Learn simple loving techniques that establish effective limits without threats and anger. New classes start every 6 weeks. Presenters are trained Independent Facilitators. The Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® program was developed by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, Ph.D., and Foster W. Cline, M.D., of the Love and Logic Institute Inc. in Golden, Colorado.

We currently offer classes located in local school districts. We offer registration and payment for classes through our website. We also accept registration by phone and payment before the first class.

Workshops

The Bright From the Start workshop is offered for parents of babies through five year olds. These highly interactive workshops and learn the importance of relationships to your child’s brain development, essential social skills and life long happiness. It will be offered one or two times each month. These workshops are brought to you free of charge thanks to Great Start of Lapeer County.

Events

Bring Gloria or Sharon in to talk about parenting for your conference, local civic group, parent association, school, enrichment program, church, community group, club or other group of parents. We offer presentation and education in all topics relating to parenting, contact us to inquire. We offer registration and payment for events through our website. We also accept registration by phone.

About Parenting Partnership

Parenting Partnership was established in 2005, by Gloria Sherman and Sharon Whitson, two friends with a common vision of child and family advocacy. Our mission is to provide quality parenting education to enhance family functioning. Both Gloria and Sharon have extensive experience as advocates of children and families. Parenting Partnership provides parent-education in English and Spanish. We are a for-profit company, and we rely on getting enough registrants to cover our expenses. We have hosted national speakers in local communities for the benefit of both parents and educators.

In Lapeer County, Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® training classes were provided to the community by Independent Facilitators under the umbrella of the Lapeer County Community Collaborative. The LCCC discontinued offering the course. We decided because of our commitment to parents and children to continue as Independent Facilitators offering the training classes and established our business, Parenting Partnership.
